Case Study - G2A.COM - Marca Sport Weekend

From October 11 to 13, we partnered with G2A.COM at Marca Sport Weekend in Málaga—a citywide event celebrating sports with exhibitions, activities, and appearances by top athletes like Mireia Belmonte, Saúl Craviotto, and Koke Resurrección.

→ Proposal

G2A.COM hosted a booth at the Centro Pompidou, open to anyone who wanted to stop by. Our goal? To create a memorable experience for every visitor with fun and engaging activities.

We started with a racing simulator where guests could challenge content creator Rotren to a time trial.

We also set up a PlayStation 5 area for EA FC 25 matches.

On top of that, we brought in popular content creators like Lluna Clark, who streamed live IRL, Pablo Kilo, who wowed us with freestyle skills, and Rubiales. Together, they have a combined audience of over 1.5 million followers on social media.

The star attraction of the booth? The air machine, where participants could win G2A.COM merch, discount codes, or the ultimate prize—a PlayStation 5.

To include those who couldn’t attend in person, we ran a PS5 giveaway on X. With creators like Imantado and Aroyitt helping to promote it, we shared a tweet featuring a virtual air machine. Participants had to screenshot the PS5 ticket and follow G2A.COM’s account on X to enter.

For years, Play the Game has been managing this event end-to-end, handling everything from negotiations to production and logistics while collaborating closely with the client and their partners. We’re always looking to innovate and push our ideas further, delivering activities that draw in crowds and boost visibility and engagement for the brand.

Results

Despite heavy rain, the booth drew a large crowd who enjoyed every activity, making the event a huge success.

Content shared by invited creators and G2A.COM’s social accounts generated over 1 million impressions.

The PS5 giveaway on X also performed exceptionally well, with over 350,000 impressions and around 840 entries.

In short, G2A.COM’s presence at the event brought significant visibility and engagement, strengthening the brand’s connection with its audience and driving sales in the short, medium, and long term.
