Twitch Highlights Infographic of April

This month, we’ve taken a deep dive into Stream Hatchet to unpack all the Twitch stats from April. Curious about which channels were the most viewed? Wondering which brands received the most shout-outs on the platform?

Check out our latest infographic for all the details:

Top Brands on Twitch

We find Google at the top of the list, which may be a natural outcome given its daily utility and status as the primary search engine for most people online, but let's not forget about the impact of AI, even though ChatGPT hasn't quite made it into these rankings yet. Right behind Google are tech giants like Uber, Spotify, and Amazon which resonate for similar reasons; they have all become daily essentials for people. Additionally, it’s interesting to see Coca-Cola and Walt Disney on the list too.

On Twitch, we find casual conversations and the latest digital discussions happening non-stop, so, it's essential to stay tuned to these updates so we can spot new trends and stay in the loop, both on and off social media.

Words Showdown

For our Words Showdown, we've been diving into the sports scene on the platform, especially with all the hype surrounding the NBA Playoffs this April. We thought it'd be cool to shine a spotlight on the top contenders this season: the No. 1 seed Boston Celtics and the No. 2 seed Denver Nuggets

After crunching the numbers, it turns out they're both pretty popular, but here's the thing: despite the Boston Celtics' impressive 17 NBA championships, they haven't exactly dominated Twitch talk. Interestingly, the Nuggets have been stealing the show this April and have accumulated more mentions, near to the 60% of the total share. One reason could be Nikola Jokic, who's been killing it on the court all season. And let's not forget, being the defending champs probably doesn't hurt their reputation either!

Everybody knows Twitch isn't just about gaming anymore. It has become a hotspot for all sorts of content. By the way, did you know the NBA has its own official channel on Twitch? So, we'll keep an eye on what's happening there to determine where the mainstream audience gathers and where user attention is focused.

Top Channels

Now, let's dive into the hottest channels of the month!

ESLCS has made its mark among the top-viewed channels, and it's no surprise. With the ESL Pro League playoffs for Counter Strike happening in April, Twitch was the go-to spot for all the action, being the world's main platform for esports broadcasting. However, the channels dominating the charts are Jynxzi, KaiCenat, and Caseoh. These guys are considered giants in the world of content creation. But we've got to give a special shoutout to KaiCenat, whose performance has been very diverse this month, from winning the Streamer of the Year title at the 2024 Streamer Awards to hitting the headlines with a crazy broadcast that involved a motorbike in his setup, leading to a temporary Twitch ban, he has shown us that when you're in the news, no matter the reason, it always shows in your stats: he has gotten over 8 million hours watched and more than 300K followers. Also, those three streamers are among the top channels that are growing the fastest this month.

Top Contents

The "Just Chatting" category is always at the top of the most-watched content on the platform. One reason for this is because it's the default spot where streamers hang out when they're not doing anything more specific. But also because it's a general category where users can chat about any topic and connect with their favorite streamers. On the other hand, the standout game has been GTA V, thanks to its large Roleplay community which regularly hosts significant events for players. As we mentioned earlier, another highly watched content this month is Counter-Strike 2 due to the ongoing playoffs.
